FISH TACOS
For these classic tacos you can batter or crumb the fish – this recipe is for crumbing.
Ingredients
For the fish;
- Fresh Fish
- Seasoned Flour (add salt, pepper, paprika, onion and garlic power)
- Eggs
- Breadcrumbs
For the toppings;
- Tomatoes
- Cucumber
- Red onion
- Capsicum
- Fresh Chilli (optional)
- Coriander
- Lemon Juice
You will also need;
- Soft shell tacos
- Spinach/lettuce
- Lemon to garnish
Directions
Cut up your tomotoes, cucumber, red onion and capsicum into small cubes, add into bowl. Dice the corriander and chilli (to taste) and add. Season with salt and pepper (be generous with the salt) and add a good amount of lemon juice. Cover and let sit in fridge while you prepare the fish.
Crumb the fish by dipping it into flour, the egg mix and then breadcrumbs. Repeat for all fish.
Fry fish in a pan with a small amount to of oil or in air fryer if you have one.
Cook the taco shell on a high heat pan until they start to to crisp up.
Assemble your taco! Add your greens, the fish, salsa and top with a siracha mayo or aioli and more coriander. Enjoy!
